JUNGLE JUSTICE
Stealing is a sin,
so is murder.
The thought process of a human being
is hard to comprehend so don't bother.
The word on the street
is that honesty is key.
But when ends are hard to meet,
blinded by poverty, integrity is kinda hard to see.
Stealing becomes appealing
And murder is no blunder.
As appealing as stealing may be,
it's a risky source of livelihood. You'll see.
Getting caught by the masses,
You'll realize you were their awaited scapegoat.
Sadness and anger over poverty are in the air.
So, the burn for an outlet is hard to bear.
They won't care about your unborn child
or your starving mother.
All they'll care about is that justice is served.
Looking around to find your executor,
You realize that it's your half brother.
Apparently, family doesn't mean anything;
Their word on your shameful deed, reserved.
You were born alone so you're on your own.
You've committed a crime, one they won't condone.
As you think about your unachieved goals,
Your life is taken from you with blows.
Before you pass away into the unreachable,
Your last thought will be,
' Between mine and theirs, whose sin is more forgivable?'
Stealing is a sin,
so is murder.
The thought process of a human being
is hard to comprehend so don't bother.
The rhymes were pretty, the rhyme scheme was inconsistent. Pity
ReplyDeleteMy writing style is different so expect more inconsistent Rhyme schemes in the future. 🍃
