New Life

Our I do’s had a short forever.

Parenting waved us goodbye

before we even had the chance to try.

At least we honored our vows.

Death did us part

before thoughts of a divorce could start.

Hopefully,

we’ll wake up together in the afterlife.

The same way we died together, 

on our wedding day. 

The supposed start of a new life.
